The keel.. The original, traditional fish. Generally ridden 4-6" shorter than your everyday shortboard. The keels normally have a much straighter outline and look the part of a traditional keel fish, but have a nice foiled out, refined feeling without blobby noses and overly thick tails. I generally include a more modern single foiled keel fin set as it seems to be more user friendly to most surfers, but with removable fins you are able to try for yourself and find what suits your surfing style best. My keels have a fair amount of vee in the front helping the surfer achieve the feeling of being IN the wave more so than ontop of it. A double barrel concave through the fins with slight vee off the pins help achieve maximum drive down the line.
